Katherine Heigl, star of the much discussed Apatow flick Knocked Up, thought it was “a little sexist:”
“It paints the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight, and it paints the men as lovable, goofy, fun-loving guys,” she says. “It was hard for me to love the movie.” (Vanity Fair)

Figgers, with a title like that. Almost all the movies out right now would drive me crazy to watch. I've got nothing but complaints about that new hyper -man-becomes Santa movie. When will they stop making these? I'm so sick of watching happy little familie of moralistic consumers in these movies. Somebody needs to write a "Not Another Christmas Movie". Now.

I am glad the star of that film has issues with it because I found it pretty unfunny and hard to like. This makes me feel less like a humourless feminist.

Yeah, what she said. And I like Apatow (Freaks & Geeks = made of awesomesauce).

The thing with Freaks & Geeks is that it had lovable, funny characters of both genders making jokes and mistakes. Somehow in Apatow's transition to film he left the women behind.

I didn't see this movie because, despite all the boys telling me it was hilarious, I got bad vibes from the trailer alone.
I'm kind of surprised that she'd publicly criticize a film she starred in, though. I wonder if she felt this way when she first read the script or only after seeing the edited final version...

I thought it was interesting that she criticised it, just because I always equate actors with the movies they are in, as if they have a great deal of say in it. The fact that she seems surprised at how it turns out seems to be indicate that actors are just cogs in the wheel, along with the gaffers and key grips.
