Haha, funny! That reminds me of the book Animals in Translation by Temple Grandin, where she talks about how (non-human) animals are very effected by their visual environment in a way that humans aren't - in that we tune things out depending on what we are looking for, and animals don't do the same.
Grandin visited slaughterhouses where there were things like puddles of water on the floor or raincoats flapping around on fences, things that distract animals and making them difficult to handle - and things that should've been obvious enough to handlers, but no one could see them because they weren't looking for them.

Love this! So smart. So direct. So true and not a guilt trip. Also the people do look like a cross-section of real community youth. The person who wrote this should get an award! Wow!
