I love this ad because it’s completely contrary to shame. And, well, adorable.

That beaver is sooooo cute!!! Whoza the cutest itty bitty sweet wittle beaver ever???? (Also that shot of her cuddling with her beaver after they get their nails done is hilarious.)
Ok, now that I've got that out of my system, I do really like U's campaign to take the "'oo' out of the vagina taboo" (http://www.ubykotex.com.au/) However, it is still a lousy tampon company that makes money off of selling potentially toxic products to women at exploitative prices. I know I know, nitpicking nitpicking...

I don't see this as positive. It's all about emfacizing girl coulture cliches and the beaver- lets face it-represents the product. It's a cute accessory for a "cute" girl. Besides it reminds me of those creepily annoying bell commersials. aside from that, I had no idea this ad was for a tampon. It's the same old media show and if they're cloaking it in "girl power" to me that ought to mak it worse

Can we all agree that Thea does the best 'talking to a cute animal' voice?
Myra and Thea make good points. At the same time, with those grain(s) of salt, I am loving this commercial. Thanks Stacey May.

Well, I have been refining my "cute animal talking voice" technique for years. This year's challenge: "How to talk to a wombat."

At least it is all body positive as far as the vagina etc,....then there the bikini scene where the men check her out from above (the camera shoots them from above as well.) Ah-well. Hell-of-a-lot better than it could've been
