Shameless magazine is a feminist magazine for teenage girls. So we have to ask the question: what is life like for feminist teenage girls?
Well, for one thing, high school is depressing.

Ugh. I can relate.
My law class, in particular, is full of privileged white kids who enjoy whining about how "oppressed" they are for being privileged white kids.
Can't wait until I graduate. Sigh.

well, i'm almost 10 years from highschool, CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? i remember when I was in highschool being a feminist was my badge of honour. it gave me lots of power because i felt like the only one (i think there were three of us over two or three grades) and was seen as someone to be afraid of.
the annoying parts were that people thought that whenever there was a student who did anything "lesbian"-like that i was involved, or that b/c i was a feminist i was a sarah mclachlan fan. very far from my actual reality.
i think a sucky thing about being a young highschool feminist more so today would be feeling more and more like older feminists don't get it. i don't think that the "third-wave" reaches out to the youngest feminists enough (miss_g aside!) and it's something i think we need to do more.
