Restructure! — I.O.U. one post on “HOWTO Encourage Women in Linux”. And you shall have it shortly. Actually I’m shooting for as shortly as tomorrow (bonus Thursday geekery!).
But I just got home (it’s 11:12pm) and while all I want in life right now is to put on my jammies, I can’t let a Wired Wednesday go by having posted nothing (even if I’ll be right back here tomorrow).
So, until tomorrow:
* Guitar Hero onna Bike
(nope, not even sure what I’m watching, but I think I like it)
Update: Sadly, it seems that this has turned out to be something of a hoax.
* And a nice intro to HDR (High dynamic range) imaging, for those not already basking in its intensely vivid beauty.

Ah! HDR photography is always something I've wanted to try, if only I could afford Photoshop. Alas. Here's a detailed tutorial I've been saving for forever. Maybe some kind Shameless readers will let me live vicariously through their magical HDR-enabled lives. :-(
I'm excited to see your Linux post!

Oh Michelle, do I have the best thing for you.
Have you ever tried The Gimp?
It's not "true" HDR, but google "the gimp hdr" and there's definitely tutorials out there for making something darned close.
Photoshop, shmotoshop. :)

Hah, oh yes, poor neglected Gimp. I tried it once and deleted it in a fury for having the nerve to confuse me with its new and different interface. Well, to be fair, I actually deleted it because it couldn't compress jpgs well enough to be used for my job... but then also, I did feel a bit intimidated. Maybe I will try it again, now that you point out this HDR thing. Thanks, Catherine!

I think that's a pretty standard reaction Michelle :) I was lucky enough to learn Gimp first, so it's Photoshop's interface that makes me angry.
