Planned Parenthood Toronto is a fully accredited community health centre which provides primary and sexual health care services to youth between the ages of 13 and 29, and support to women throughout their reproductive years. PPT also offers health promotion programming, education, training, and research to improve the health and well-being of Toronto’s diverse communities.
We are currently doing a needs assessment to help us better understand and meet the sexual and reproductive health needs of youth in the city.
We are particularly wanting to make sure we reach newcomer youth as well as queer and trans youth with our survey, and we also want to hear from young people of all backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender identities, so please share this info with anyone and everyone you know who’s between the ages of 13-29.
If you have nieces/nephews, siblings, friends, children etc. in this age range, please pass this link on to them so they can tell us about what’s important for their sexual health.
Youth who complete our short survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/pptneeds can enter to win a $100 Visa gift card.
As part of PPT’s new 2011-2014 strategic plan, the agency has committed to undertaking a needs assessment regarding youth sexual and reproductive health in Toronto in order to identify priority populations and service/programming needs, including assessing the effective uses of technology in sexual health programming and services for youth.
To complete a needs assessment regarding youth sexual and reproductive health in Toronto in order to meet the following objectives:
· enhance PPT’s ability to provide the best sexual and reproductive health information, education and services possible,
· increase PPT’s ability to meet the sexual and reproductive health needs of youth,
· ensure that PPT serves youth who are lacking access to sexual and reproductive health services, and
· enable PPT to be at the forefront in the utilization of technology to offer innovative programming and services.
